Electrical upgrade
The system has been used for refrigeration, lighting, electronics, heating, Starlink, water pump, and cooking with an induction cooktop/electric kettle when appropriate.
The layout
The 68″ × 80″ bed runs north-south and gives you a genuinely comfortable sleeping area, while the additional ~20″ section converts into useful counter/desk space rather than being part of the mattress.
That makes Beetle especially useful if you want a van that can function as both a camper and mobile office.
